The short version
My path runs through engineering, embedded software, complex research systems and the long discipline of building things that other people depend on. Those environments taught me that the hardest problems are rarely purely technical.
They live between the engineer and the scientist, between the model and physical truth, between what an institution knows and what it can still use. My work is to make those connections visible—and then build the structures that can carry them.

Journey
A career built in layers
2007—2011
Built software close to physical reality: safety instrumentation, electronics, test systems and airborne platforms. Learned early that reliability is a promise, not a feature.
2012—2019
Moved into tracking, radar, data fusion and multidisciplinary systems work—across the full path from requirements and research to integration and commissioning.

Briefed Presidents Cyril Ramaphosa and Xi Jinping at the CSIR on Postcode Meerkat—a South African wide-area surveillance system built to help rangers protect lives and wildlife in Kruger National Park.
2010—today
Founded ITMan Design Studio and steadily widened the work from digital craft into software platforms, product thinking and durable institutional systems.
2025—forward
Building ITMan Intelligence as a South African-rooted home for strategy, engineering, research, human–AI collaboration and knowledge that can outlast its creator.
